Alabama vs. Old Miss ( 14 OCT 2006) : I took these shots from row 22 over the 10 yard line. I've got to say I was really pleased with the outcome. This is Nikon's 55-200 kit lense that alot of folks complain about because of cheap build quality and slow focus. I'm more than satisfied. I had great light on my side. On the other hand, I am amazed at the flawless (speedy) focus.

Charlotte Panthers Pre-Game : I have a friend in Charlotte who got us field-passes for pre-game. I used my wife's NIkon Coolpix 5700 to take these shots. The camera has an 8x optical zoom. The blurring is an accident but gives a nice feeling of motion on some shots.

The Fifth Annual Ohio Polo Classic : A rainy day at Cashman Field but a good time was had by all. In addition to some great polo, I saw several firsts.....a boomerang thrown so far that it never came back. (I'm not kidding.) I also saw my first polo playing dog. This was my first time at a polo match. Its nirvana for photographers. So much going on. Of course the rain didn't help, but it forced me to focus on some things that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. A special thanks to Jack Dill for teaching me about he sport. Also,thanks to the riders and their famiies that allowed me to stay dry under their tents. These images are copyrighted, but if you are a rider or volunteer and would like an image for non-profit purposes, I would be happy to send you an original copy. Once again, thanks for all the hospitality. I look forward to attending another event.
